Egg Burger (scd, paleo)

Sorry the picture is terrible.

My newest quick dinner obsession: egg burger. Sounds less than appetizing to most, and is unconventional at first glance. But it's really not. Eggs and ground beef typically combine to make meatloaf (yuck) and no one thinks that is strange. But fried egg on top of a hamburger patty is truly divine. I love that since the dish is so simple there are many ways to approach it. You can go the traditional hamburger route and top along with pickles and mustard and lettuce, or you can think of it as more of a breakfast dish and use fresh tomato and jalapeno slices to have an omelet-essence. Frankly, just some salt and pepper are the only seasonings needed to make this a delicious meal.

1 egg
1/4 lb ground beef

This is silly I even need to write a recipe.

Form ground beef into patty and fry on medium high heat until cooked through, flipping only once. Adding other spices to the beef is completely up to you. Set burger aside and crack 1 egg into grease left in frying pan. Break yolk with spatula (or don't- depends on your egg preference) and flip when ready. Place the egg, once done, on top of burger and add salt and pepper. Or whatever else you want.

I'm telling you, you're going to be addicted too.
